85 an hour Correctional Officer Duties:
- Maintain security and control within a correctional facility - Monitor inmate activities and behavior using CCTV surveillance systems - Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the facility to ensure safety and security - Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and incidents within the facility - Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to maintain order and discipline - Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas for contraband - Escort inmates to and from various locations within the facility - Prepare written reports on incidents, disciplinary actions, and inmate behavior
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Must be at least 18 years old - Valid driver's license - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening - Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations with inmates - Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond in emergency situations - Excellent report writing skills to accurately document incidents and activities - Previous experience in law enforcement or corrections is preferred Additional Skills:
- CPR certification is a plus - Familiarity with militarized environments is beneficial As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the correctional facility.
