Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, HRIS & Pay, performs a variety of duties in accordance with established hospital payroll procedures.
Performs complex responsible and confidential duties within the Payroll Department.
Position requires interaction with employees, department heads, Information Systems, Accounting and Human Resources Department.
Essential Functions:
Process and manage payroll, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
Audits time records to assure employees are being paid according to established hospital policy.
Prepares and enters all separate checks, adjustments and overrides on a current basis.
Processes employment verifications, child support, and wage garnishments.
Handles phone inquiries from employees, supervisors and managers regarding payroll procedures.
Facilitates training for Kronos and UKG users and leadership as needed.
Review and process all new hire information upon start of employment.
Ensure processing of payroll related taxes is complete and review for any tax code fall-outs in the payroll system.
Generates and distributes various payroll and general ledger reports.
Ensure all payroll related reports and interfaces are running as necessary, including 401K funding files.
Keep up with all payroll processing Standard Work Instructions and leadership guides.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education Required High School or better in General.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
