EHS Specialist
Summary: Lead the efforts to implement and sustain safety and environmental process. Put strategic plans in place that will reduce workplace injuries to include the installation and maintenance of a behavioral based safety system. Conduct daily, weekly and monthly departmental and facility audits to ensure the safest working environment for the company and the employees. Conduct and coordinate all safety and environmental related training.
EHS Specialist
Responsibilities:
o Environmental Officer and Emergency Action Plan Coordinator for incident command.
o Ensure annual OSHA compliance to include all reporting, contractor compliance, plan documentation, training and safety records.
o New equipment installation safety check-off.
o Facilitator to safety committee.
o Recommends change in policies and procedures for required safety programs.
o Maintain safety and training records to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, TS 16949, OSHA 18001 ISO 5001, and ISO 14001 programs.
o Investigates both near miss and work related injuries, prepares reports to include corrective actions and communicates via mandatory safety alerts.
o Perform hazard analysis/abatement reviews.
o Provide safety/environmental communications (postings, employee meetings, etc.)
o PPE Management to include assessments, availability of supplies, vendor management and support.
o Provide New Hire Orientation support for safety related topics.
o Supervise hazardous materials and hazardous waste storage, identification, and manifesting for proper disposal.
o Conduct audits of facilities handling or disposing industrial wastes.
o Manage and oversee all waste water discharge permits, analytical and monthly and annual reporting.
o Compile and submit various Federal and State environmental reports including annual hazardous waste report, annual disposal fee report, SARA 311-312-313, TIER II reports and OSHA 300 Log.
o Analyze and interpret scientific and legal documents including Chapters 29, 40, and 49 Code of Federal Regulations for presentation.
o Participate in government inspections.
o Perform investigational studies for Air permitting requirements that require the use of mathematical concepts and sampling theory. Concepts utilized include variance, statistical permutations, and logarithmic and exponential equations.
o Manage the facility wide recycling and solid waste disposal programs.
o Implement secondary containment storage program.
o SDS Management.
o Understand and comply with ISO 9001, TS 16949, OSHA 18001, ISO 5001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
o Supports and complies with established Company's Corporate Principles.
o Performs ERIS and sustainability reporting and provides required information to Division and Region.
o Support Region North America to facilitate and lead both environmental and security initiatives for the Region.
o Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED:
EHS Specialist Essential Skills and
Experience:
o H.S. Diploma, AS in business or applied sciences.
o English language competency required.
o 10 years of experience in a production and heavy machining facility.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
o Experience in delivering training at all levels of the organization
o Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OSHAS 18001
Full benefits package and relocation assistance available. Salary will range between $60,000 and $75,000 per year.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
